My Cruise Adventure Onboard the Allure of the Seas

My Cruise Adventure Onboard the Allure of the Seas

I had a fantastic experience recently to sail on Royal Caribbean’s beautiful Mega Ship – The Allure of the Seas. After spending years selling these Oasis class ships, I finally had the opportunity to experience it for myself. I can highly recommend the vacation.

This class of ship is a destination in itself. Everything that you would want at a land resort is offered onboard this vessel. For those that are active you have two rock climbing walls and two flowriders (surfing simulators) where you can use boogie boards or surf boards.

One quick recommendation, women wear a T shirt over your swimsuit, the current is very strong and many have lost a top with lots of people watching. There is also miniature golf, a sports deck, ice skating and even a zipline. All of these activities are complimentary. You might have a short wait, but no cost.

For those that aren’t quite as adventurous, the entertainment onboard is top notch. On each of these large ships they offer a complete Broadway show, not just highlights. On the Allure they perform Mamma Mia. Some of the other shows performed on the Oasis class ships are Grease, Cats and Hairspray. The cast is straight from Broadway and do a fabulous job. There is an Aqua Theater on the aft of the ship where diving and acrobatic shows are performed. It has a 19 foot deep pool (the deepest at sea) and is as good as I have seen anywhere. They also offer an ice show. My favorite was the Headliner Show. Each week they bring on a performer and on our ship it was one of the best I’ve seen. His name was Lou Gazzara from Las Vegas and his voice was phenomenal. I went both nights he performed because he was so good.

There are 24 different restaurants onboard, some complimentary and some with a service charge. Literally, there is something on the ship for anyone and all ages. There were many families on our cruise and they all enjoyed the wonderful children and teen programs.

The prices are great, in fact, right now Royal Caribbean is offering 30% off all guests and some sailings are even offering kids 12 and under sail free. You can’t beat that. If you are looking for fun, relaxation, adventure and different ports (we stopped at St. Maarten, San Juan and Labadee (private island) or just wanting to veg, I highly recommend Allure of the Seas.
