Day 1: Wednesday May 23rd

Depart Salt Lake City to Beijing
Day 2: Thursday May 24th
Beijing
Upon arrival you will be met by a local guide and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 3: Friday May 25th
Beijing
Today you will walk on the 98- acres of Tiananmen Square. We will then visit the Imperial Palace (Forbidden City) and its palace museums. First built in the 15th century, the Imperial Palace was the residence of the emperors of the Ming and Quing Dynasties. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Saturday May 26th
Beijing
Today we will visit the Olympic Village, and have a photo shoot with the Bird Nest Stadium and Water Cube Aquatic center. We will then take you to the Great Wall of China, which was first built during the 5th century BC and meanders across the earth for 3,700 miles. Over 300,000 people labored more than 30 years to accomplish the task. This afternoon you will visit the Underground Palace, and underground tomb of one of the Ming Emperors, and the “Sacred Way of the Animals,” which guards the tomb. Tonight enjoy the brilliant Martial Arts Kung Fu spectacular. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Sunday May 27th
Beijing
Morning is a time for contemplation and for exercise. You will visit China's most photographed building this morning, the Temple of Heaven, where you can join the Chinese people in their morning exercise. This afternoon experience a very enjoyable bicycle rickshaw of a “Hutong” - one of Beijing's traditional old neighborhoods. (B/L/D)
Day 6: Monday May 28th
Beijing - Xi'an
Today we will transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. Xi'an served as the capital of eleven dynasties. Afterward we will visit the 1,000 year old Wild Goose Pagoda and Shaanxi Provincial Museum. This evening enjoy a dumpling banquet followed by a very colorful Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/D)
Day 7: Tues May 29th
Xi'an
Today we will visit the life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, buried for over two thousand years with the First Emperor of China - Qingshihuang. Evening flight back to Beijing. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel. For those of you who are doing the Hong Kong extension will stay in Xian and fly to Hong Kong in the morning.(B/L/D)
Day 8: Tuesday May 30th
Beijing - Salt Lake City
Today you will bid farewell to the fascinating country of China and its people. After breakfast you will transfer to the airport and check-in for your international flight. (B)

Day 1 - Arrive Hong Kong Transfer to Hong Kong Hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2 - Hong Kong
Today you will enjoy a half day Hong Kong Island tour which includes Aberdeen, Victoria Peak and Stanley market. (B)
